Amazon – an e-commerce company - was founded by Jeff Bezos in 1994 and the website was launched the following year. It started out as an on-line book-store but has since moved into many other areas of the market.

Amazon is now showing its presence in the financial market, after launching the Amazon credit card in conjunction with Bank of Scotland, offering reward points that can be used to pay for goods at Amazon.

Amazon Credit Cards

The Amazon Credit Card is provided by Bank of Scotland and offers all the great features you would expect to find from any standard credit card, such as competitive APR rates, 0% introductions on balances transferred purchases. The difference with Amazon Credit Cards is that for every pound you spend using your credit card will earn you loyalty points redeemable on Amazon.co.uk.

Every time you accumulate 1500 points, Amazon will send you a £15 gift voucher that can be used to pay for goods on the website. Points can be earned from spending anywhere, both on the Amazon website and in any other outlets that accept credit cards.
