Alliance & Leicester has been praised for its provision of current accounts, it has been revealed.
Alliance & Leicester Current Accounts has won a pair of prestigious industry awards, it has emerged.The financial services provider - which includes Alliance & Leicester Premier Current Account and the Alliance & Leicester Premier Direct Current Account in its range of current account products - has been named Best Current Account Provider with regards to debit interest by Moneyfacts.
It has won this accolade every year since 2003.
Meanwhile, Alliance & Leicester Current Accounts has also won the prize of Best Current Account Provider for credit interest, the fourth successive year it has received the award.
Such news could interest those looking to compare current accounts in order to land a competitive deal.
"Often making simple changes like switching to a current account provider offering a better interest rate can make any belt-tightening that little bit easier," Andy Bayes, head of Abbey and Alliance & Leicester current accounts, states.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that interest on the Alliance & Leicester Premier Direct Current Account had been raised one percentage point to six per cent.
