Lloyds TSB has announced some changes to its student current account package.
Students looking to
compare savings on the best
current account deals available to them before heading off to university may be interested to hear about a new offer from Lloyds TSB.
The lender has decided to make its specialist Lloyds TSB current account student package more attractive to youngsters - who may otherwise have to dip into their
savings accounts in order to meet the living costs of university - by introducing a number of added bonuses.
Under the terms of the new deal, students will now have access to an interest-free overdraft facility of up to £1,500 in their first three years of studying and a free National Union of Students Extra card for the same time period, which gives special offers and discounts with over 80 brands such as Amazon and McDonalds.
Meanwhile, David Black of Defaqto commented recently that people should always carefully scrutinise the benefits on offer from packaged current accounts before taking one out.
