Barclays has introduced its new student current account deal.
Students searching for the best
bank account to sign up for prior to heading to university may be interested in a new product on offer from one financier.
As of yesterday (July 11th), scholars can take out the new Barclays Student Additions
current account, which aims to offer individuals a wide range of benefits throughout the duration of their time in higher education.
For instance, this
student accounts package offers an interest-free overdraft of up to £2,000 - with a further £1,000 available at a rate of 8.9 per cent - as well as a free text message alert system to help people manage their finances properly.
Furthermore, the deal also includes a special offer of £75 cashback on any monthly mobile phone contract agreed with Phones 4u.
Dan Wass,
Barclays current account director, commented: "It is vital that students take control of their money throughout their university life."
Recently, Justin Modray of online resource Candid Money noted that accruing
credit card debt is now seen as normal by many younger people.
