Santander has created a new bank account text alert service.
Consumers with a
Santander current account may benefit from a new service created by the financier with the intention of improving their money management.
As of last Thursday (September 15th), Britons with a
bank account provided by the lender can sign up for a scheme whereby they receive text messages giving them important information about their personal finance activity.
This initiative gives customers the opportunity to register for four particular alerts, including notice when they are approaching a pre-selected balance, when a high value deposit is made into their account and when large amounts leave their product due to direct debits.
Matthew Timms, e-commerce director at Santander UK, commented: "We are constantly looking to help customers better manage their finances, our new text alerts service will give customers more control over their banking and finances."
This comes after the company announced last week it has enhanced many of its fixed rate
mortgages.
