The new savings product could prove to be more flexible for customers.
A new online savings account
aims to offer a more flexible approach, Derbyshire Building Society has revealed.
The organisation is part of the Nationwide Group and it has launched its NetSaver (Issue 1) savings account
with a competitive rate of 3.11 per cent gross per annum.
It comprises a fixed introductory bonus of 2.11 per cent gross per annum that is paid until November 30th 2012 on investments savings
of £1 or more.
Matthew Wyles, group distribution director at Nationwide Group, comments: "The launch of the Derbyshire NetSaver account is great news for those who want the flexibility of easy access."
He says the choice provides the "best of both worlds" because it offers a good rate upon opening, as well as writing to savers when their introductory bonus is coming to an end.
Derbyshire Building Society is a mutual organisation without any shareholders, which it claims allows it to act in the best interests of its customers.
