Cahoot is the online counterpart of Abbey, a UK bank owned by spanish banking giant Banco Santander. Cahoot was launched in 2000 and by the end of 2004 it had around 650,000 customers. Cahoot offers a full range of financial products and services, although some divisions including Cahoot mortgages are supplied through its parent bank, abbey.
Cahoot itself provides current accounts and savings accounts, as well as its Webcard - a unique product allowing customers to make safe purchases online by producing a new card number for each transaction.
