How does this work?
Poor credit cards are designed to help you rebuild your credit rating by giving everyone the opportunity to make regular minimum payments. Every time you make the required payment on time and in full your "Behavioural score" increases. If you continue to do this over a sustained period of time (6 - 9 months) then the next time you apply for credit elsewhere that particular company will refer back to your present card company who will confirm that you have handled your credit responsibility with them and thus increase your chances of being accepted with a future lender.
Will I be accepted for these cards?
The Credit Card Companies judge each application on a case-by-case basis so you are never 100% guaranteed. These Card Companies charge a higher APR in recognition of the risk they are taking on by allowing some one with recent CCJ's or Defaults to have credit. If you have experienced these problems or have been rejected by other card companies, these cards will offer the best chance of being accepted.
