MBNA offers new credit card

A new credit card designed for business purposes is being offered by MBNA.

Those on the search for a new credit card to use for work purposes may be interested in a new 0% purchases credit card being offered by MBNA.

The MBNA business credit card comes with 0% purchases for the first 12 months that the product is opened.

In addition, the credit card offers 0% annual fees and comes with free purchase protection insurance.

Upon the end of the 0% purchase period, the standard rate of interest will be set to 15.9 per cent APR (typical) variable.

Allison Moulton, head of business lending at MBNA - which also offers the Business Credit Card with BMI Miles and 'No Fee' Business Credit Card - states that "this new business credit card aims to help small businesses and sole traders manage their cash flow".

She points out the business credit card could prove to be of particular assistance to small firms, as access to credit has generally tightened since the onset of the credit crunch.

Meanwhile, the MBNA Platinum offers 0% on purchases until July 2009, with a balance transfer fee of 2.9 per cent.
