Halifax has introduced a new bonus scheme for people looking for a credit card.
People holding
Halifax current accounts or looking to
compare savings on the best
credit card deals available to them might be interested to note the lender's decision to introduce a new reward for its customers.
Under the terms of the
Halifax Reward current account, savers are already eligible to receive a £60 annual cash bonus when they deposit £1,000 into their account every month.
However, the financier has now decided to offer those people interested in
Halifax credit cards the added incentive of earning an extra £120 a year when they apply for its Clarity package.
If customers spend at least £300 on their credit card every month, they will get a reward of £5 for doing so, meaning that people who fulfil both the current account and credit card criteria may be able to gain themselves £120 annually.
Meanwhile, Halifax recently announced its intention to maintain its rates on its student account deal for 2010-11.
