A recent study arguably supports the need for a sensible approach to securing the right insurance deal on a motor.
Those on the lookout for
car insurance might want to take note of recent advice issued by one organisation.
M&S Insurance carried out a survey which showed that 21 per cent of drivers feel confident about driving their vehicle before hitting the road for the first time.
It also revealed that women are more likely than men to begin their journey without having read a manual in advance.
The research could underline the importance of ensuring
insurance for young drivers.
David Wells, head of insurance at the group, suggested that the findings highlight the benefits of taking a low-risk approach to driving.
He stated: "To avoid taking risks and potentially causing an accident, it is important to take time to familiarise yourself with the features of a car that's new to you."
Meanwhile, the importance of taking out proper
breakdown car cover was arguably underlined by recent statistics from AA Insurance, which showed that pothole-related claims were four times higher between January 18th and February 3rd than the same period in 2009.
