Simple pet insurance plans can be the key to cheaply keeping animals healthy, according to M&S.
As National Pet Month (April 3rd to May 3rd) draws to a close, Marks & Spencer (M&S) is offering top tips on animal care to potential pet owners.
Thousands of dogs and cats are abandoned in the UK every year with many incidents being down to rising vet bills. However, a simple pet plan can ensure that your pet and bank balance both remain healthy.
Andrew Ferguson, head of general insurance at M&S. said: "Becoming a pet owner can be a very enjoyable and rewarding experience, but adopting a dog or cat can be a serious time and financial commitment.
"Potential pet owners need to give careful consideration to how any pet adoption might impact on their lifestyles and pockets before deciding on a new animal addition to the family."
M&S offers various pet insurance policies for cats and dogs from eight weeks old and with no upper age limit, with
annual insurance rates being reduced by 15 per cent for new customers online.
