Zurich UK Life announced yesterday (April 28th) its intention to enhance its
mortgage and family protection cover package.
The firm is to expand the eligibility of its
life insurance and critical illness cover in order to allow older customers to take advantage of its offers. The eligibility age for Zurich's term annual assurance will rise from 65 to 83, while the upper maximum age for term policies and critical illness cover is to be upped from 65 to 74.
Also, the company has increased the maximum term it will provide life cover for to 50 years in order to reflect the changing social landscape in contemporary British society and offer both new and existing customers greater choice and flexibility.
Gerry Warner, protection development manager at Zurich, said: "We recognise that society is changing with people now living and working longer and with that comes evolving financial needs with many people now having commitments that they want to protect beyond retirement age."
