Marks & Spencer has said that England fans going to the World Cup should get their travel insurance sorted out sooner rather than later.
Marks & Spencer has today (May 26th) urged football fans making their way to South Africa for the World Cup not to leave taking out their
single trip insurance until the last minute.
The retail firm's financial arm, M&S Money, has said that taking out insurance before making the journey to the southern hemisphere should be as important to supporters as match tickets, flights and hotels.
With thousands of Brits planning to take
single trip travel to South Africa in order to support Wayne Rooney and company, M&S has insisted that tourists should take out insurance sooner rather than later in case they have to claim on their policy before they even reach their destination.
Meanwhile, research by Santander revealed earlier this week that every England fan travelling to South Africa will spend an average of £2,700 during their trip, meaning that savings accounts are sure to be raided prior to leaving the UK.
M&S' premier insurance policy provides up to £6,000 worth of cover for any unused and irrecoverable travel and accomodation costs.
England will get their World Cup campaign underway against the United States in Rustenburg on June 12th.
