Nationwide has introduced a new special deal to its home insurance range.
Nationwide Building Society has today (June 9th) introduced a new offer to its
contents and buildings insurance range.
Under the new deal, people taking out
home insurance with the lender in branch before September 5th this year will be awarded 100 days of free cover. Meanwhile, customers taking out the product online will receive an additional 20 days of insurance for no cost on top of this.
The key features of Nationwide's
annual insurance product include unlimited buildings cover for eligible properties and all reasonable costs of repairs to a home should it be uninhabitable due to natural causes, such as a flood.
Also covered are televisions and DVD players if they are accidentally damaged, as well as the deal offering no extra charge by paying monthly via direct debit.
Meanwhile, it was revealed yesterday that home insurance claims for broken windows are expected to rise by up to 25 per cent during the World Cup due to would-be Wayne Rooneys playing football in back gardens.
