M&S has issued advice to people thinking of visiting South Africa later in the World Cup.
As World Cup fever continues to spread across the nation, new research by Marks & Spencer (M&S) has revealed that seven million Brits would be prepared to go to South Africa if England reach the semi finals or final of the tournament.
Many respondents indicated that they would make the journey to the southern hemisphere without a match ticket in order to sample the carnival-like atmosphere while potentially witnessing captain Steven Gerrard lifting the trophy in Johannesburg on July 11th.
Therefore, M&S has stressed the importance of taking out
single trip insurance for those supporters who are not covered by
annual insurance for their travels.
Also, anyone heading on the
single trip travel to South Africa must also be aware of currency regulations in the country, the lender has said.
James Yerkess, manager at M&S Travel Money, said: "Every penny counts, even when it's concerning the beautiful game and all the excitement a trip of a lifetime like this would bring."
He added that fans should make sure they know that governmental rules limit tourists to taking 5,000 rand (around £450) in cash with them into the country.
