New research shows that people are now more willing to head further afield for their summer holidays.
New research released today (July 2nd) shows that British holidaymakers seeking
single trip insurance are becoming more adventurous with their choice of destination.
According to swiftcover.com, nearly one-quarter of all requests for cover are now for long-haul holidays, in comparison with around 20 per cent back in 2005.
Annual insurance for people who make regular journeys abroad may be advisable, but the study showed that travellers looking to go away on
single trip travel are now more willing to fly further.
Luxurious breaks and adrenaline-fuelled extreme sports holidays are the most popular options with the British public, with 23 per cent of people indicating that they would ideally like to visit a tropical island and a further 23 per cent stating that they would relish the opportunity to try white water rafting.
Meanwhile, an increased number of people are choosing to remain in the UK for their summer holiday this year in order to avoid any potential disruptions such as air strikes.
