Sainsbury's hopes to reward its customers going away on single trip travel.

Sainsbury's yesterday (July 13th) announced that its customers heading off on single trip travel this summer will be rewarded with special foreign currency exchange rates.

In news that could interest people searching for annual insurance or single trip insurance, the supermarket bank will offer holders of its in-store Nectar card preferential deals on purchases made in its Travel Money Bureaux.

Scott Gorman, head of Sainsbury's Travel Money, said that the firm is pleased to be able to help its customers cut the cost of their break in the aftermath of the global economic downturn as it means "their holiday money will go a little further".

As an example of how this scheme benefits customers, Sainsbury's states that anyone seeking to buy Euros worth £450 will receive around £7.50 more than they would ordinarily.

Meanwhile, research released last week (July 9th) by Bright Grey shows that around one-third of all adults going away in the coming months will rack up debt in order to do so.
