Research has stated that car insurance is important for people driving to festivals this summer.
New research released yesterday (July 19th) found that
car insurance has become potentially more important than ever for people heading to festivals this summer.
According to Marks & Spencer (M&S), around half - 56 per cent - of all adults in Britain will attend one of the 350 music, literary or food-based events in the coming months.
And with more than three-quarters of these revellers saying that they will head to the festivals by car, ensuring that they have an
annual insurance policy or
breakdown car cover in place prior to leaving home could be important to avoid any unwanted costs should an accident occur.
M&S's head of general insurance, Andrew Ferguson, commented that people heading off to enjoy themselves at a festival should "make sure this is a summer to remember for the right reasons" and warned that heavy traffic around event sites can lead to increased numbers of accidents and breakdowns.
Meanwhile, figures released yesterday by the AA showed that car insurance premiums in the UK are rising due to fraud.
