An expert has said that car insurance companies are trying to avoid upping premiums for their honest customers.
Car insurance companies are doing all they can in order to limit the negative impact that false claims are having on the premiums of honest drivers'
annual insurance policies, an expert has said.
According to Graeme Trudgill, technical and corporate affairs executive for the British Insurance Brokers Association, firms are being proactive in their efforts to stop rising
breakdown car cover rates for people who are not making fraudulent claims as it is not fair for these drivers to have to pay for these costs.
Mr Trudgill's comments come after the AA published data last week (July 19th) which showed that illegitimate claims caused the cost of car insurance policies in the UK to rise by more than 11 per cent over the last quarter.
"We don't want innocent people to foot the bill and do all we can to help with that matter," added the expert, who then went on to say there is no other way to help these victims of fraud.
