Santander introduces car insurance bonus

Santander is offering car insurance customers bonuses for the remainder of 2010.

Santander bank account customers might like to take advantage of their financier's new bonuses that will come with its car insurance packages up until the end of 2010.

The lender has decided to give anyone seeking its breakdown car cover - whether they are a new or existing customer - the opportunity to either take a free TomTom Start sat nav system worth £99 or £50 cash back.

The offer is now available to anyone who takes out a new car insurance policy with Santander before the end of the year and is intended to act as a unique selling point for Santander's range of motor cover products.

Colin Greenhill, director of sales and marketing for Santander Insurance, explained that the lender is "constantly looking for new ways to reward our customers" and this offer falls into that bracket.

Meanwhile, research released recently by Direct Line and Brake revealed that 74 per cent of drivers risk their policies and health by using their vehicle while tired.
