People should make sure their breakdown car cover is adequate for winter, research has suggested.
Car insurance customers could be well advised to
compare savings on the best deals available to them as the winter period begins to affect the UK.
That is if research conducted by The Co-operative Insurance is anything to go by, as the provider has indicated that taking the time to double check a
breakdown car cover policy could result in people saving both time and money should their vehicle encounter problems due to the adverse weather conditions.
The study found that there are several maintenance tasks that many motorists are unaware how to complete.
For example, more than two-thirds - 68 per cent - of drivers are unable to check their brake fluid, while a further 59 per cent of road users do not know how to make sure their brakes are working - which could be particularly important on icy highways.
Additionally, Defaqto stated recently that people should also ensure their
home insurance packages give sufficient cover ahead of the festive period.
