A financier has revamped its home insurance range.
A financier revealed yesterday (February 8th 2011) that it is to alter its suite of
home insurance products in order to make the deals more competitive in the current market.
People with a
Santander bank account who are also searching for
contents and buildings insurance cover may be particularly interested in the fact that the lender has launched two new packages, entitled Choices and Peace of Mind Plus, in order to revamp its range of such products.
Choices is to supersede Santander's current Essentials line of insurance and will offer terms such as a compulsory excess of £150 for buildings and contents including accidental damage.
Meanwhile, Peace of Mind Plus will replace Peace of Mind cover and includes benefits like insurance for individual items worth up to £2,500 without the need to specify them under personal possessions cover.
This comes after Graeme Trudgill of the British Insurance Brokers' Association stated that the recent spell of cold weather had caused an upturn in the number of home insurance claims.
