The cost of car insurance is out of hand, an MP has insisted.
More action needs to be taken in order to reduce the cost of
car insurance premiums in the UK in the near future.
That is the opinion of David Ward, MP for Bradford East, who insists the price of taking out
annual insurance cover for vehicles has now got out of hand, meaning the government may need to step in sooner rather than later.
Mr Ward described the problem as a "national issue" that requires immediate attention from policymakers if it is to be rectified and called for changes to be made to the present system, in which any increase to
car day insurance charges is equivalent to the level of personal injury claims with regard to the amount paid out.
Recently, the politician urged members of his constituency to help him in his fight to make car insurance more affordable.
He added: "Young people and new drivers suffer the most of all."
