People going on any kind of holiday should take out travel insurance, it has been said.
Travel insurance represents an absolutely essential investment for anyone going on holiday in the near future, an expert in the industry has stated.
Graeme Trudgill, technical and corporate affairs executive at the British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA), believes
single trip travel cover should be at the top of any holidaymaker's priority lists.
Mr Trudgill noted that it is possible to buy various policies that offer protection for different things, such as medication, cancellation and personal injury cover, meaning such documents can cover all eventualities.
"Travel insurance is like your suitcase, you shouldn't go away without it," he added.
Furthermore, the BIBA official insisted it is not just those who are heading abroad that should be looking to sign up for cover, as this is just as crucial for individuals staying in Britain for a break.
This comes after a spokesman from Candid Money warned travellers to be wary of surcharges levied on purchases made with their
current account debt card overseas.
