A new campaign is encouraging consumers to get online and compare loans.
Those consumers yet to discover the Internet for loan enquiries are being encouraged to get online.
The British Computer Society (BCS) has recently launched the 'Keep Up' campaign, aimed at people who feel unsure or intimidated by their PC and the World Wide Web.
Although a fantastic general information tool, the Internet also allows consumers to find, compare and secure the best mortgage or loan deals around.
According to Good Migrations, the practice of shopping around online is beneficial because it provides a greater understanding of the vast number of deals around tailored to individual needs.
The campaign, along with the BCS's e-Citizen qualification will be made available in colleges and training centres throughout the country to teach those unfamiliar surfers tips and techniques.
"Whilst nearly two-thirds of the population are using a computer at home or work, including 22 per cent of the over 65s, there is still a significant minority of society who are failing to realise the benefits of the internet", said David Clarke from the BCS.
