Men surfing the web for loan discounts
Men are increasingly going online when looking for new loan deals, according to new analysis.
Figures released by Halifax unsecured personal loans indicate that the internet is now seen as a speedy and practical alternative for researching the latest deals ? particularly for men.
Men are 50 per cent more likely to use the web than women for finding loans, with martial status also having a bearing.
Almost half of online applications are made by single people, with married couples accounting for 37 per cent of applications.
Max Vialou-Clark, head of business development at Halifax unsecured personal loans, said that applications online had risen in a number of sectors.
"The number of online applications has more than doubled in the last three years and shows no signs of slowing," he commented.
Office workers were found more likely to use the web for loan applications than other sectors.
