Post office mortgages are provided by the Bank of Ireland. They offer a competitive range of mortgages that cover most of the popular lending options.
The Post Office mortgage range includes fixed rate mortgages from 2 to 5 years. With these mortgages your interest rate will be fixed for the agreed term so that you know exactly how much you will be paying for that period. After this period has ended the mortgage will move to a standard variable rate. At this point you can either re-mortgage to another offer, or continue for the remaining term of the mortgage at the standard variable rate.
The Post Office also offer variable rate mortgages from 85% Loan to Value. These mortgages often have a discounted variable rate at the start of the mortgage for a period of time. Once this time has passed the mortgage rate will again move to the standard variable rate.
